How to Make Olive Soap at Home?

Making soap with your own hands is a fairly popular hobby among women. Home soap is not only exclusive and beautiful but also useful, since it does not contain harmful impurities. Handmade soap nourishes, moisturizes, tones up the skin, especially if done with the addition of useful olive oil. Let's cook olive soap together.

You can not buy soap base, but replace it with usual white baby soap without flavors. Some soap lovers prepare the soap base themselves from alkali and fat, but it's safer and easier to take a ready-made soap base.

To get a good olive soap, as the base oil is taken olive. Its benefits are known for a long time, therefore, olive oil is called "liquid gold", adding to the quality cosmetics.

Castilian home soap

Castilian olive soap is a classic option. It was first made in Spain, in Castile, so it's called that. Make a real Castilian soap with olive oil from oil, water and alkali. For its manufacture you need:

  • 20 ml of lavender oil;

  • 1 liter of olive oil;

  • 270 ml of distilled water;

  • soda solution with caustic soda and caustic 130 g.

Make this solution very carefully, wearing a mask, gloves, apron and goggles. The solution of soda is carefully and slowly poured into water, mixed well to dissolve the granules. The mixture is heated and then allowed to cool slightly.

Olive oil is heated in a saucepan over low heat. Then, stirring with a noise, pour oil into the alkali. The mixture should become thick. This may take several hours. Then lavender is poured into the soap mixture and poured into forms. They cover with a cloth and put on 1-2 days in a cool. Castilian soap from the mold is turned and laid out in a cool, dark place for 4-6 weeks, so that it hardens well. The longer it hardens, the better its properties.

Soap with olive oil against cellulite

This olive oil is prepared easier than the previous one. It is prepared on the basis of classic children's soap. So, take:

  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil;

  • 100 ml of boiling water;

  • 180 g of baby soap;

  • 3 tablespoons of large sea salt;

  • 4 tablespoons of coffee grounds.

Cooked baby soap rubbed on a grater. Do this in rubber gloves and a gauze bandage, so as not to breathe soapy dust. As a result, they receive soap shavings, which are poured into a saucepan into a water bath. There immediately pour in and olive oil. Oil and shavings are constantly stirred, adding boiling water in small portions. Stir it slowly, so that there are no lumps and excess foam.

The mixture must acquire a plastic, uniform consistency. Then they throw coffee grounds and sea salt into it. The soap mass is mixed well for 5 minutes and poured over soap molds, having oiled them first with oil. Soap mass carefully tamped. The olive soap dries 2-3 days in a cool place. This soap will help to make the skin smoother, get rid of the "orange peel", moisturize dry skin and give it firmness.
